Digital Art Tutorial
UI/UX, illustrations, web design

Description

With the rise of digital devices and tablets, digital art has gained significant popularity in recent years. The tactile experience and materials of traditional art differ significantly from the virtual canvas and tools utilised in digitial art, imparting each art form with its distinct characteristics and techniques. Free and useful art tutorials can be difficult to find. Motivated by my personal frustrations with the scarcity of convenient resources, this website offers valuable step-by-step guidance on initiating your journey into digitial art.

User pain points
-
Many popular sites such as Behance and ArtStation are used predominately for portfolio showcase. Most of the posted illustrations are finalised with limited tutorials and resources.
-
Whilst there are tutorials around, many are locked behind a pay wall or are only available when joining an artist's short course.
-
When free resources are found, there are no centralised location to easily access them. There are no websites that dedicate to the teaching of digital art.
Problem statement
While there are numerous existing websites, videos, and books that provide excellent resources, tutorials on digital art are not easily accessible, often dispersed, and sometimes included exclusively in paid content packages.
